Ultrabots, ERC-20, and Creators

Over the last few weeks the CryptoBot project has turned from an idea to a sensation—with nearly 4 ETH of proceeds from sales generated from a handful of talented artists and a little under 20 bots. It's an amazing feeling seeing this project come to fruition.

However, many times I have asked myself, so what's next? Where do we go from here? I envision the CryptoBots project and the resulting UltraBots as a collective art piece—crowd-sourced pop art. So far that is working out with a modicum of success but it can't scale and there is no current way to actually reward creators and Bot holders. 

Luckily, I was introduced to Roll app with Roll—I was able to mint a number of ERC-20 tokens (ULTRA). 

Unfortunately, those tokens are only useful is there is some value behind them. That's where the brilliant part come out.

Make your UltraBot work for you

Starting in the next few weeks every new UltraBot will be minted on an NFT smart contract—unfortunately that means that the project will have to move away form SuperRare however some limited edition works will still be posted there. Furthermore, each current UltraBot holder will be rewarded with an equivalent value in ULTRA tokens. You can use ULTRA to curate content, engage with the project, and acquire more bots. 

The UltraBot Economy

Ideally, I would like to create a micro-economy with the UltraBots and peg each NFT with a corresponding market derived value of ULTRA—this is going to take some time to prefect—so be patient. In order to create scarcity and keep the economy moving there will be quarterly token burns and 100% of the 20% royalty we take from Creators will be pooled to provide liquidity to the project. In the future being able to provide a form of a dividend to Creators is being explored as well as royalty mechanics for collectors.
